Our record setting 2025 Ride for Roswell Team
We set fundraising records in 2025 raising over $28K, placed in the top 30 out of 700+ R4R Teams and had 27 riders join our team.
This year marked the 11th year of the Buffalo Eats Ride for Roswell Team and will go down as one of our most memorable YEARS. For starters, this was the biggest team we’ve ever had. Our team was made up of 27 riders who rode a collective 700+ miles on Saturday June 28th. Together we raised $28,884 for Roswell Park, breaking our record of $23,249 from 2019, and brought our lifetime total to $165,778.
The ride is always one of my favorite days of the year. Like so many people, it makes me think about all of the people in my life who have fought this disease. I ride thinking about the people who are thankfully here because of Roswell Park’s work and the one’s who sadly are not. Hell, in the last 11 years we’ve had 3 survivors ride for our team. It’s always an honor to ride alongside them.
This year specifically was even more emotional because for the first time I got to line up at the starting line next to my 8 year old daughter Charlie (who crushed our 10 mile ride btw) and think about how this will become our new family tradition. It was a very special year all around.
We have a lot of people to thank.
Our Sponsors
This year featured 14 sponsors to our team comprised of a lot of returning companies and some newcomers. For the 2nd straight year, 888VoIP were incredibly generous and were our premier sponsor again. A huge thank to our non food related sponsors, Frey Electric and CVM Electric who have been supporting our team six and eight years respectively. Thank you to Harry Zemsky for sponsoring team from Hydraulic Hearth (8th year) and Swan St Diner (4th year), he’s been the first person to donate every year. Thank you John Bona for continuously sponsoring our team from Amherst Ale House for the 7th year! Our friend Pat’s whiskey club North Buffalo Gentlemen’s Club was back for a 6th year. The best DMB cover band around, The Dave Matthews Tribute Band sponsored our team again! Colonial Wine & Spirits out of Orchard Park, supported us again. Franco’s Pizza has been supplying our team with a tent/pizza for the last five years. Thank you to our 10am Hayburner friends at Big Ditch Brewing for supporting us again, we absolutely love you guys. And a thank you and welcome to our two first time sponsors, check out Evolve Buffalo if you’re thinking about a new work out routine and Graze at 500 Seneca if you want a tasty lunch in the Larkin area that will leave you feeling good.
Buffalogo Co x Social Club Merch.
We’ve collaborated with our friends at Buffalogo Co. several times in the past, but this most recent collaboration was one of our favorites. They approached us with an idea and we loved it and it helped raise an additional $400 for our team this year. The shirt design has been locked up into the vault but we’ve got some ideas for next year and who knows, maybe it will return?
The Meat Raffle.
What else can I say. May 16th was an amazing night. Over 200 people packed an Amvets hall in Riverside and helped raise $6,000 for our team. Thank you for the generosity of the 200+ people who attended and bought 50/50, basket tickets and got into the fun. Thank you to dozens of volunteers who made this event run as smoothly as possible. The combination of our MC Puf, music from DJ Melpirebat and Meat Spin Lynn worked better than we could have ever dreamed. We can’t wait for next years event.
The Team.
None of this would have been possible without the 27 riders on our team, many of whom were new to our team but also participating in their first ever Ride for Roswell. Our group chat in the leading weeks was filled with support and cheering on everyone to hit their fundraising goal. I can’t wait to get started on 2026 preparations with this group.
